What do you think is the relationship between
language and culture?
Language and culture are closely related
because culture is the basis of any teaching and learning of a language since
it is not only limited to learning the grammatical bases or how a sentence is
constructed, but also allows us to understand the language completely from
expressions in real conversation.
2.Which cultural expressions do you know
countries have through language?
I think it is what we could call the flokore,
idioms and idiosyncrasy, which is how the popularity of a culture is
manifested, these jargons have their particularity when conceiving a language,
one of these expressions in English could be 'It's raining cats and dogs' that
if we traduction to our jargon it would be the same as when we say it is
raining wind, however it is necessary to know the particularity to be able to
associate it.
3.Why do you think is it important to have an
oral tradition in a country?
Oral expressions are important because they
allow and make it possible for a culture to transmit its own knowledge through
generations through language.
4.What do you think, do we teach language using
culture or do we teach culture using language?
I believe that to learn a language it is
necessary to learn to think like a native speaker, not only to learn the basic
notions of a second language, that is, the language would be a prior notion
that leads us to create culture, Therefore, wherever we find works We will find
the language as a precondition in this sense, it could be a complement.
5. Do you take into account culture in the
strategies you use in your English classes? Can you give me some examples?
Of course, for example with movies, listening
to music, these tools help me a lot in teaching
